These are my favorite Fasting & Insulin Resistance resources. I've read each of them. Most, I checked out of the library first and then had to get my own copy to mark up! They all have lots of science to back up their claims!

I checked this book out of the library and had ordered a personal copy before I was half way finished. I grabbed it every time we got in the car and periodically, I'd catch Al up on new information. Dr. Fung does such a good job of explaining why the standard prescription of calories in/calories out is doomed to fail.
This is the book that started us on fasting.

More great information about insulin resistance. This time, it was focused not just on weight gain, but also on insulin's connection to diabetes. What a silly statement! Of course, insulin is related to diabetes, doctors prescribe it as the cure. The problem is that more insulin just isn't the answer.
Our bodies need time to heal from too much insulin from too many meals.

I'll be honest. I'm going to have to read this one again when nothing else is going on. There are many reasons people get cancer. But sometimes, it's due to insulin resistance.
As with his other books, Dr. Fung lays out the history of the disease interspersed with studies and facts.

By the time I got to this book, there wasn't much else to learn. This one is much simpler.
If you are interested in jumping into fasting for the health benefits, this one will get you going with just enough information to help you know why it's a really good idea!

This was the first book I read about glucose and how to control it in a variety of ways. The most surprising take away for me was that the order in which we eat food is so very important!
This book is a great first book on glucose and insulin.
