Fishing

Onsite fishing in stocked ponds: whether you stay at the Bellyache Cabin or the H&S Lodge, you are in close proximity to a fun "fishing hole".  Walk directly from your accommodations to try for the day's catch!  No license required
 
Backcountry fishing trips via horseback: we will pair you with the right horse and lead you to some excellent fishing in the remote lakes located behind our main ranch.  For example, on the Heart Lake Trip, you will ride approximately 5 miles west of the ranch to the lake.  The DOW stocks the lake, and 15" to 20" rainbows are not uncommon!  Aside from great fishing, the high mountain scenery is breathtaking!    Colorado fishing license is required.  The day license fee is $9.
