The Snyder Family
At the Fish & Cross Ranch
Fish & Cross Ranch is more than a place — it’s home to a multi-generational Colorado ranch family rooted in faith, heritage, and the cowboy way. From grandparents to grandkids to great-grandkids, each member plays a part in daily ranch life in the Yampa Valley. Together we carry forward the traditions of ranching, hospitality, and community that define the ranch today.

Built on family and faith in Colorado’s Yampa Valley, our way of life is carried forward through generations. Allen “Al” Snyder and Teresa Snyder moved to Colorado in the 1970s, where they built a life and raised their family. In 2005, Al and Teresa purchased the property that became Fish & Cross Ranch, beginning a new chapter in their family’s ranching story. Teresa’s life and legacy remain part of the ranch today. Find out more about Teresa’s legacy.
In 2023, Al married Bitsy Snyder, beginning a new chapter in their lives and bringing together two families rooted in faith. Today, Al and Bitsy share in the stewardship of Fish & Cross Ranch alongside the generations of family who live and work here. Together, the family tends the land, cherishes the past, and looks with hope to the future—living out faith, heritage, and the cowboy way.
