About the Author
Bitsy Snyder lives on Fish & Cross Ranch, a working cattle ranch at about 8,500 feet near Yampa, Colorado, at the base of the Little Flattops. She and her husband, Al, share the ranch with four generations of family, Black Angus cattle, quarter horses, and a lot of hay to put up before winter.
Bitsy writes and illustrates the Trixie & Puck picture books, inspired by two real ranch dogs. Trixie was a steady, gentle Black Mouth Cur with a star on her collar. Puck was a quick little black Lab, always into something. Both have passed, but on the page they still run the hay fields and nap by the log barn.
Her stories are rooted in faith, family heritage, and the cowboy way.
