Rio Blanco County

We’ve had several fires near us (Rio Blanco County) to our west. Most of the smoke and ash that found their way to the Fish and Cross happened before we got home. Those are still raging.

5th largest in Colorado history? 1000 firefighters for only these two fires?

Craig Fire

Sunday, we were in Hayden for me to drop items off at the Routt County Fair, and we headed to Craig only to see a plume of smoke that got larger as we approached the town.

Steamboat Radio says this fire is 100% contained now!

Lake Crosho Fire

Late yesterday afternoon, a plume appeared behind the house. This one is at Lake Crosho which is about five miles from the house.

Notice that our Yampa Firefighters have been called for this one.
